We are a student literary journal, and only take electronic submissions. We accept these year round from the following campuses of Lone Star College: Cy-Fair, Westway Park Technology Center, and Cypress Center. Upload attachments in .rtf to ensure preservation of formatting and the ability to open your files on our end. Include your name and contact information in the upper-right corner of each page. For submissions of art, include your name, the title of your pieces, the medium used, and the year the pieces were completed in the body of your email. Please use the subject line "Barker's Voice Submission/s" when submitting.
Guidelines
Poetry -- Send up to 6 poems or up to 10 pages of poetry.
Fiction and Creative Non-fiction -- We prefer shorter work. Please send no more than 10 pages.
Visual Artwork -- Send images in zipped .jpg files.

We respond to submissions within six months, but usually sooner. We close for summer but will read your work when we return to campus in the fall.
While we do take simultaneous submissions, we expect immediate notification of acceptance elsewhere.
By submitting your work to The Barker's Voice, you grant us first North American serial rights, the right to use your work in promotional materials, and the right to archive your work online indefinitely.
Copyright reverts to author upon publication.
